GATE 2021: Admit cards to be out on 8th January as IIT Bombay releases the exam schedule

IIT Bombay on August 7 released the information brochure for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 on its official website. It contained the important dates, the change in syllabus and relaxed eligibility criteria for GATE 2021. We must also know that GATE 2021 is one of the most awaited exams in India. It measures the students to get admission into a master’s degree in premier technical colleges and jobs at public sector companies.

In a recent update, the GOAPS website released the detailed schedule of the GATE exam. Thus, candidates can check the paper-wise and shift-wise datasheet of GATE 2021 on the official website. The Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE) 2021 will happen from February 5 to 14, 2021. IIT Bombay has also released the mock tests on November 25 as a dummy of the actual question paper. The online mock test will be three hours long and it consists of objective type questions. It will help candidates to understand how questions IITB has framed the questions for the exam.

When will GATE 2021 admit cards come out?

The admit cards will be available on January 8. The GATE 2021 will happen in different cities across India as well as six cities outside India. But the official website has made it clear that they will only conduct the exam if the current COVID-19 situation eases and travel restrictions relax down. Or, the GATE, this year, in international centres will be “CANCELLED”.

Further, students can go visit their centres on 5th as well as 12th February. The examination will happen in two sessions, i.e forenoon from 9 am to 12 pm and afternoon from 3 pm to 6 pm. All Test Papers of GATE 2021 will be entirely objective type. Patterns of questions may include (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), (ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and/or (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
