Gandhi Jayanti 2020: CBSE launches Free Course on Non-Violent Communication with Certificate

In a memo dated October 1st, CBSE issued the notice of a new course on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation. It says, “Non-Violent Communication is a powerful tool of effective communication and conflict resolution. It is based on Gandhian Values of Non-Violence, Mutual Respect, Understanding and Compassion.”

On the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, CBSE has launched an Orientation Course on Non- Violent Communication. It is in association with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti (an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture). Principals, Teachers, Parents and Students can join this course. Further, it is a free course.

CBSE will further share the links for the course material and reflective exercises by email from 10th October 2020 onwards. In addition to the course material, it will also organise webinars through live streaming. The participation is not mandatory, but you will get a certificate when you complete the reflective exercises in the course material.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has also requested all the Principals of CBSE schools to encourage teachers, students and parents for the maximum participation.
