Funtab Fusion tablet at Rs.3,999

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Even as the ultra-low cost tablet market is yet to steer through uncertainty, Go Tech Digital has introduced Funtab Fusion and Fonetab for Rs.3,999 and Rs.6,999 respectively.

The new devices are based on Android 2.3 with 7 inch TFT screen and stereo speaker. With a focus on education sector, it comes with pre-loaded Edu TV and app store funBazaar.  Fonetab Fusion has inbuilt SIM slot.

“Our objective is to add fun to life,” said Go Tech MD Gaurav Khanna. The company is eyeing to sell 10,000 ultra-low cost tablets during the next quarter. Go Tech is also exploring corporate tie-up opportunities and will aggressively target tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Pixatel Systems Asia CEO Harjinder Singh said that the Funtab will deliver innovative content through funBazaar app store. Pixatel is offering Android-based application suite to these devices.  

The company will roll out both these products nationwide on June 1 and will go for conventional and online channel. “We’ll finalize our national distributor soon. The devices will be available through online marketplaces such as Flipkart.

The company will procure these devices through contract manufacturing in China and Taiwan. Established in August 2011, the company has introduced 5 devices since then.
