Frost & Sullivan recognized AT&T with mobile network strategy award

DALLAS, USA: Telecommunications industry analyst firm, Frost & Sullivan, has recognized AT&T with its 2013 North American Mobile Network Strategy Award for the third consecutive year, while also honoring AT&T with its second consecutive North American Residential Video Company of the Year Award.

Additionally, AT&T received the 2014 Competitive Strategy Leadership Award in Residential Video.

AT&T received the Mobile Network Strategy award for its rapid, broad and simultaneous deployment of high-speed 4G LTE and 4G HSPA+ technologies.

Frost & Sullivan also honored AT&T for its aggressive rollout of additional network technologies to deliver the best possible mobile Internet experience virtually anywhere and anytime customers need it.

AT&T operates the nation's largest Wi-Fi network with more than 32,000 AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots and is an industry leader in deploying Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), which utilize multiple small antennas to maximize coverage and speed where traditional coverage methods are challenging.

AT&T's network investment and innovation is also enabling more consumers to enjoy access to AT&T U-verse while providing them with a better entertainment experience. Frost & Sullivan honored AT&T U-verse with the Video Provider of the Year and the Competitive Strategy Leadership awards for its leading IPTV network, which provides customers with an interactive way to watch TV and enjoy an integrated bundle of TV, broadband, home phone and wireless voice services, at a great value.

AT&T was recognized for the innovative features it makes available to customers, such as the AT&T U-verse Wireless Receiver, Total Home DVR, U-verse App for smartphones and tablets and other applications.

Frost & Sullivan also honored AT&T for its customer growth. AT&T U-verse is the fastest growing TV provider in the U.S. with a $12 billion annualized revenue stream in less than seven years since its initial launch in 2006.
