Dell's Poland manufacturing facility supplies in-house production of computers.

The European Commission, the EU competition watchdog, said the deal would not pose any concerns.

"The overlaps between Foxconn and the Polish subsidiary in the assembly of electronic products are not so important as to significantly strengthen Foxconn's competitive position," the EU executive said in a statement.

Dell is the world's No. 3 personal computer maker. Foxconn and its parent Hon Hai manufactures for companies such as Apple, Dell and Hewlett-Packard.
