Food service at Adelaide Oval with NCR

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA: NCR Corporation has entered in to an agreement with Adelaide Oval SMA Ltd (AOSMA) to deploy the NCR venue management solution at the Adelaide Oval, as part of the major redevelopment currently underway.

The announcement explained: "At the heart of the solution is NCR Venue Manager, an advanced point-of-sale (POS) and reporting system that has been deployed in more than 200 stadiums and arenas globally. It has been selected to streamline operations, deliver an unparalleled level of service and help deliver a world-class experience in Australia's newest sports and entertainment complex."

Undergoing a A$535 million redevelopment, Adelaide Oval will open in October 2013 with a vast range of bars, restaurants, dining rooms, corporate boxes and concession stands to cater for capacity crowds up to 50,000 fans. NCR Venue Manager, will ensure rapid, accurate speed of service in this most demanding of food-service environments.

NCR Venue Manager is stated to provide Adelaide Oval with sales information from every POS device and retail outlet in real time, enabling it to accurately report, analyze and forecast sales ensuring real-time inventory control and cash management.

"Adelaide Oval's iconic status and the significant investment in its redevelopment mean that we must deliver nothing short of a world-class experience for the tens of thousands of visitors we will host at an event," said AOSMA CEO, Andrew Daniels. "The NCR Venue Manager solution will help us fulfill our commitment to provide exceptional service to event-goers, while increasing efficiency, reducing waste and keeping costs under control."

Adelaide Oval opens in two phases: a partial opening in October 2013 for the cricket season, followed by the entire venue in March 2014 for AFL.
