In an exclusive chat with Cyber Media News, Vinod Vasudevan, CEO, Flytxt, said the company is already a name in the reckoning when it comes to mobile marketing. “We already have leading telecom player Reliance Communications deploying our integrated carrier-class mobile marketing software platform called Neon on its network. This comes as part of Reliance Communications’ tie-up with Flytxt in the mobile marketing space”.

Elaborating on the deployment, Vasudevan said Flytxt is now enabling Reliance Communications to leverage its existing business data and boost voice and VAS revenues through intelligent mobile marketing. “We have been able to convince the private telecom major of the benefits of implementing Neon on its network and has proved that added revenue, via mobile marketing, is an assured phenomenon,” he added.

This is not all. The company has already initiated talks with a variety of telecom providers in the country to aid their efforts aimed at mobile marketing. Vasudevan said: “the Neon product has proved to be a path-breaking achievement for Flytxt. With the implementation of Neon on telecom networks, players in this space can handle personalized marketing messages with ease to a targeted audience."

"The results are showing for Reliance already. The parleys initiated with a handful of other companies are also on a positive track. We might be able to announce the outcome very soon.”

Explaining the space on which Flytxt operates in, Vasudevan said Flytxt banks on Third Generation Technology in enabling conversational mobile marketing. “The Third Generation Technology, which we have adopted, is a totally new concept compared with the first and second generation marketing technology tools. In this space, we operate on a technology platform that is tailor-made to extract certain unique capabilities of the mobile as a conversational marketing channel,” he said.

While the first generation was all about a mass audience with no filtering, the second generation dealt with a broader target base. Third Generation, in the meantime, enables conversational marketing to the maximum level possible.

According to Vasudevan, constant upgrades are being brought into play, making Neon an effective tool in mobile marketing. New products are also on the anvil for the company, which has his operational hub at the Thiruvananthapuram Technopark, he added. The Thiruvananthapuram facility houses product development, testing, support and marketing. The company currently employs 80 professionals globally.

On Flytxt’s expansion plans, Vasudevan said the company is currently foraying into South Africa, which is seen as a mature telecom market. The company already has a presence in London and Frankfurt, apart from the Indian locations of Mumbai, Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
