NEW DELHI, INDIA: Even as there are certain confusions prevailing over the IMEI numbers not working with some mobile operators, handset maker Fly Mobile said that all its handsets carry genuine IMEI numbers and it work with all operators.
In a statement issued in association with MSAI (Mobile Standards Alliance of India), which is the official reporting body of GSMA for providing genuine IMEI numbers to GSM devices and mobile handsets in India, Fly Mobile also advised the distributors, retailers and consumers to ignore the ambiguity over IMEI numbers.
Fly said its state-of-the-art handsets with QWERTY-based keypad as well as 'Full Touch' features have the potential to make SMS obsolete with its new chat features. The handset maker said most of their handsets are GPRS enabled so that the consumer can access the Internet on mobile.
“Gone are the days when people used to send SMSs to their loved once, now they can scrap and chat from their QWERTY mobiles, it is said that the history repeats itself, the chat on mobile is going to do with SMSs what SMSs have done to Pagers that made them extinct,” the statement added.
