i-flex wins Microsoft .NET Solution of the Year award

BANGALORE: i-flex Solutions Limited has won the Microsoft .NET Solution of

the Year award for the Asia Pacific region for "ComEX", its

Commodities Exchange solution.

The award was presented to i-flex at the Microsoft Asia Fusion event in Kuala

Lumpur where about 100 Microsoft solution partners showcased their solutions

across eight categories. The final selection was made from over 105 entries

across these categories.

i-flex is already an implementation partner for Microsoft’s BizTalk servers

in the financial applications space, and is one of only six Indian companies

across five verticals to be chosen by Microsoft for the BizTalk server

implementation.

The company has developed a solution code named "ComEX", based on

the .NET platform, as a proof of concept application for Commodities Exchanges.

The solution enables buyers and sellers of commodities to transact online in a

highly secure, scalable and available environment using the .NET platform.

Commodities Exchanges can use the i-flex solution to create or extend

services for commodities trading. "This award recognizes i-flex’s skill

sets in financial application development on the Microsoft .NET platform. The

.NET platform was an obvious choice for "ComEX" as it provides support

across multiple devices, scalability based on open standards and a simple

programming model," said N R K Raman, head -- IT Services division, i-flex

Solutions Limited. "We are now in the process of assisting some of our

existing clients in planning and migrating existing and new applications to ‘Web

services’ using the .NET platform," he added.
