BANGALORE: i-flex solutions opens 'i-flex park' in the city, near the DRDO township. Spread over 144,000 sq. ft, the park is built with an investment of Rs 50 crore and can accommodate more than 1500 employees. The development block will house the product development and support infrastructure for Flexcube, Reveleus.

"This is a moment of great pride for us. When we started our operations, our focus was on developing world-class products for the global financial services industry. Today, we have clearly established ourselves as a leading IT solutions provider for the financial services industry worldwide. Our globally diversified business model and balanced portfolio of solutions continues to deliver growth," said Rajesh Hukku, Chairman & Managing Director, i-flex solutions.

"At the i-flex park, we will consolidate our infrastructure which will bring together our domain expertise at a single location to offer value added products and services to customers. It will also enable us to reduce our operational costs. The fact that all employees will be together will also help foster a greater sense of cohesiveness across the organization."

The park has been designed to provide a stimulating atmosphere in the working environment and creating a workplace that enhances team spirit. It has a development block and a corporate block linked by a common reception area. A water body all around the building forms a binding element in the design to make it a cohesive whole. The internal planning of the building has also been done to complement the unique features of the structure.

It is also designed to be environmentally friendly. Sewage treatment and water recycling is done and the treated water is used for gardening and flushing. The treated water is also used in the water body that encompasses the entire building. The air-conditioning systems have in-built sensors to detect the area occupied as well as number of occupants and switch off automatically in the unoccupied areas, thus saving both energy and costs.

The development block boasts of a unique cantilever construction, the only building in India to have this, plus several energy saving measures including special provisions for natural light, thus obviating the need for artificial lighting.

The corporate block is designed and executed as a cable stayed structure, the only one of its kind in entire South East Asia. This unique design element has eliminated columns inside the building, thereby ensuring greater space within the interiors and maximizing the usable space ratio of the building.

A point fixed system of structural glazing is adopted with clear transparent glass for the whole campus. The entire glass skin of the development block is supported by large tusk shaped steel columns standing as part of the elevation of the building, thus imparting a unique characteristic to the entire complex.
