i-flex, Fujitsu announce marketing partnership

BANGALORE: i-flex Solutions Ltd. has struck an alliance with Fujitsu Systems

Business Thailand Ltd.(FSBT), to launch a broad range of financial solutions to

the financial sector operating in Thailand and across Asia Pacific.

Based on a joint marketing and business development arrangement with i-flex,

Fujitsu will offer FLEXCUBE series to the market. Fujitsu, Japan's top provider

of IT hardware, software solutions and services for the financial services

industry, is also a leading supplier of ATMs in the worldwide market.

The partnership will combine FLEXCUBE as a total banking system with

Fujitsu's expertise in financial systems integration, hardware platforms, such

as PRIMEPOWER (SPARC Solaris based) and PRIMERGY (Intel architecture) servers,

middleware and Web-enabled series 8000 ATM products.

"The financial services industry faces fierce competition and tremendous

pressure in trying to keep pace with rapid changes in the business

environment," said Fujitsu's System Engineering Group senior vice president

Hiroya Madarame.

The FLEXCUBE series solution offering will include FLEXCUBE and i-flex's

Internet Banking product FLEXCUBE @, addressing the need to make banking

services available to customers over the Internet in a secure manner. The

offering would also include FLEXCUBE Information Center, a ready-to-go business

intelligence solution with pre-configured solution packages for banking,

insurance and stock exchanges.
