CHENNAI, INDIA: At the onset of 2007 (January 9, 2007), Apple Inc announced the arrival of iPhone that would revolutionize the concept of the usage of phone in the users’ lives and not surprisingly was talked in Time magazine as the ‘Invention of the Year 2007’.

Apple Inc chose Cingular as its carrier for its US operations.
