BANGALORE, INDIA: Firstsource Solutions Ltd, a BPO company which provides customized solutions for clients in financial services, today announced that its managing director and CEO Ananda Mukerji has resigned in order to pursue other opportunities and would be relieved from that position on July 27, 2010.
In a statement filed with BSE, the company added that Matthew Vallance, Jt. managing director of the company and president, BFSI, Telecom and Media, will take over as managing director and CEO on that date.
Under Mukerji's leadership, Firstsource rose to be among the top five Indian pure-play BPO companies providing a wide range of customized solutions for clients in financial services, telecoms and media and healthcare.
He will assume the position of non-executive vice-chairman on the Board of Directors of the company. Mukerji has been the CEO of Firstsource Solutions since its inception in January 2002.
Mukerji began his career with ICICI, India’s largest private sector bank. His over 17 years' experience in finance covers project finance, corporate finance and investment banking. He has also been CFO of Enron India Limited and Group CFO of BPL Communications Ltd.
Mukerji has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta and a graduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.
