Fire in Bangalore paint factory, get latest updates on Twitter

BANGALORE, INDIA: Residents of Bangalore today reported on Twitter about a fire in Bangalore. The tweets and photos of the massive fire at a paint factory in Hosur Main Road were posted on Twitter at around 11 am.

''Firefighters desperately trying to put out a mammoth fireball here,'' tweeted Nikhil Jois with a picture of the fire about 30 minutes ago.

However, there was nobody inside the factory when the fire began, say safety officials. 12 fire engines are trying to put out the flames, which are massive because of the chemicals and paints stored in the warehouse, according to a report on NDTV.

The fire has also apparently caused a traffic jam in Hosur Road. ''There is a fire in Hosur Road, heavy traffic jam,'' said an office goer.

''Good news! Fire is receding..... Fire tenders are getting a grip on the flames,'' says a tweet from Agnivo. The tweets on the fire are being posted under the hash tags Bangalore and Fire.
