Recently Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated Doorstep Banking Services by PSBs. The aim is to provide the convenience of banking services to the customers in pandemic to their doorstep through the universal touchpoints of Call Centre, Web Portal, or Mobile App.

This initiative will benefit people at large especially underserved, senior citizens, people with disabilities and those who are afraid to step out and visit public places with the dense crowd even after unlock as Covid-19 cases are rapidly increasing.

During pandemic doorstep banking services especially for senior citizens or people residing in remote locations has assisted in keeping the wheels of the financial system running. Fintech players and various banks are already helping the nation while understanding the need of people at the time of emergency.

BANKIT provides Banking services all over India they offer domestic money transfer, cash withdrawals, prepaid cards, travel booking and others, has been offering doorstep banking and cash services before the lockdown in rural areas. For doorstep services, their agents and outlet staffs are fulfilling the requirement of cash and other banking services.

Along with regular customers, beneficiaries of various government DBT schemes, especially pensioners and old aged customers found immense relief and convenience in neighbourhood and doorstep banking. Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) is offering 'Cash at Home' facility for senior and differently-abled citizens in the national capital region (NCR). The cash withdrawal request can be raised on their Paytm Payments Bank app.

The facility has been offered to senior and differently-abled citizens so that they do not need to step out during this COVID-19 pandemic. This new service is enabled to raise cash withdrawal requests on their Paytm Payments Bank app and the requested amount can be delivered at their home.
