Could you please give a brief idea about Agilent’s product development in India and tie-up with software developers?

For more than 15 years Agilent has chosen Indian software developers and partnered with many Indian companies like Strand Technologies, Persistent Systems. The company will now be entering into a strategic partnership with Caliber Infosolutions.

Persistent Systems, a partner since 1994, provides design, development, test, support and professional services to Agilent and its customers. Strand Life Sciences, a partner since 2005 contributes in joint design and support of the world’s best bioinformatics solutions.

Moreover, Agilent offers customers services to install, train, customise and integrate informatics solutions. Agilent Technologies has invested US $40 million and has diversified future strategies for the Indian markets.

What’s the kind of service that the electronic measurement solution provides for IT and telecom industry?

The company’s electronic measurement business provides standard and customised electronic measurement instruments and systems, monitoring, management and optimisation tools for communications networks and services, software design tools and related services that are used in the design, development, manufacture, installation, deployment and operation of electronics equipment and communications networks and services.

Agilent offers a full range of design, test, and management solutions that span the range of cellular technologies. For communications test, Agilent sells products and services for the different types of networks and systems, which include fibre optics networks, transport networks, wireless communications and broadband and data networks.

Recently, the company has set up an R and D centre in Bangalore for providing technical solutions, which can be used by telecom and network operators across the whole communications network life cycles.

And Agilent had a major role in testing of wireless technologies deployed for Beijing Olympics?

Yes, sure. Agilent played a vital role during the Beijing Olympics. For signal monitoring, Agilent kept an eye on the signals by providing technical support. Apart from this Agilent also supported various services such as wireless cameras, etc during the Olympics.
