NEW DELHI, INDIA: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), the Embassy of the United States of America and the Indo-US Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), recently conducted a start-up assist workshop.

Held at the FICCI-Lead incubation center in Noida, the workshop was attended by 30 entrepreneurs—all winners of one of the several US-India programs including the US-India Science & Technology Endowment Fund, Millennium Alliance, DST-Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Program, Stanford India Bio-design Program, and the DST-IUSSTF-Anita Borg Institute Women Entrepreneurship Quest.

Broad discussion at the workshop comprised product commercialisation, team building, branding, product promotion, government support, scaling up of a venture, regulatory compliance, and fund raising. There was special focus on promoting women entrepreneurs in science and technology, which remains a priority for bilateral engagement between the governments of the United States of America and India, FICCI said in a prepared statement.
