BANGALORE: ERP major SAP has introduced two new products for the small and medium business (SMB) segment in India. The solutions 'SAP Business One' and 'mySAP All-in-one' addresses the diverse segment of the SMB market in India. The solutions are targeted at companies with a turnover Rs 500 crore and below.

According to Srinivasa Rao, Sales Director, SMB, SAP India, "while SAP Business One is targeted at SMBs that require less sophisticated IT solutions, 'mySAP All-in-One' addresses the more sophisticated and IT intense SMBs with a high degree of individualization and industry specific functionality".

SAP Business One is expected to provide SMBs with an integrated set of advanced enterprise applications tailored to suit the specific needs of companies. It addresses the core operational needs of SMBs, such as accounting and banking, financials and CRM, purchasing, selling and logistics besides, reporting and analysis.

"SMBs cannot afford to implement piecemeal technology anymore that incurs high total cost of ownership and limitations when the business expands. mySAP All-in-One delivers the scalability and e-business functionality of mySAP Business Suite to fast-growing companies of all kinds", says Rao.

Explaining the features, he said, "The advantage is that mySAP All-in-One comes pre-configured in fixed-price packages. Rapid implementation means up to 30% less time and 40% lower cost than traditional approaches".

However the pricing of the solutions varies from project to project and degree of customization and functionality that the customers require. "We add real value by selling them according to what their business needs are at that time, as the need evolves it can be built on the top of the existing SAP systems," he said.

On their sales strategy, he said, " to provide a higher and deeper focus to the SMB market, we have recently expanded the number of Value Added Resellers. Besides we have identified vertical partners which we will be announcing shortly to focus on vertical specific industries".

The company is already providing specific vertical solutions for 21 industry sectors designed to meet the needs of the organization in various industry sectors including Pharma, Chemical, Media, Consumer industries, BFSI.
