FEMA awards IT services contract

MCLEAN, US: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded Invertix Corporation an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity prime contract to provide engineering, management, and other technical services.

The contracted support will assist the Government with a full-spectrum of critical enterprise information technology projects. The contract has a total potential performance period of five years and a value of $290 million. The services to be provided take the form of engineering advice and direct technical assistance essential to the research, design, development, integration, implementation, evaluation, and testing of IT solutions necessary to ensure the effective operations and maintenance of complex networks and systems.

“This award represents the creation of a new and valued partnership with FEMA,” said Art Hurtado, Invertix Chief Executive Officer. “FEMA engages when citizens are in dire need of support. A solid IT enterprise is a key enabler in building a strong and adaptable national emergency management system.” FEMA has also increased emphasis on individual preparedness and enhanced public and private sector partnerships in mitigating all hazard risks. The contract is sponsored by the Information Technology Directorate (ITD) which supports all FEMA organizations and missions across the United States and territories.The Invertix team consists of talented large and small companies. Select corporate partners include: ICF International, Witt and Associates, American Systems Corporation, and Paradigm Solutions.
