The newest revision in the µEZ GUI Family, the uEZGUI-4088-43WQN is based on the LPC4088 microprocessor from NXP and has 8MB (optional up to 32MB) of TSOP SDRAM, 8MB (optional up to 16MB) of TSOP NOR Flash, and features 128Mbit Serial SPIFI Memory.

The uEZGUI-4088-43WQN also features a 4.3" TFT WQGA LCD Panel with integrated PCAP touch screen interface. With customer demand for PCAP touch screens in GUI and HMI applications increasing rapidly, due to the influence of consumer products like Android devices and iPhones, FDI is excited to offer a PCAP touch screen solution for the embedded market.

On board features include USB Host/Device, micro SD memory card, Real-Time Clock with Super Cap backup, 3-axis accelerometer, speaker, temperature sensor and mini JTAG connector. The unit also supports the addition of an Expansion Board for additional communication interface options like USB Host, Ethernet, RS485, and RS232 support.

The uEZGUI-4088-43WQN features video playback capability from the high speed micro SD Card using a simple technique developed by FDI. Video playback is WQVGA resolution with a 15 frame per second playback rate and is useful for functions such as Quick Start Instructions at boot-up, detailed trouble shooting guides or even product advertising when a unit is idle. Video sources can be in common formats such as MPEG or AVI with a simple one-time conversion on a PC before storage and playback uEZ GUI.

The kit is based on FDI's µEZ Rapid Development Platform (pronounced "Muse"), which includes an extensive library of open-source software, drivers, and processor support, all under a common framework. μEZ development works on the premise of "design once, reuse many times." μEZ allows companies to focus on innovation and on their own value-added applications while minimizing development time and maximizing software reuse.

The kit includes a Segger J-Link Lite JTAG debugger and a demo version of the powerful Segger emWin GUI software development package along with all cables and a stylus for the touch screen.
