Facebook Timeline compulsory: But from when?

BANGALORE, INDIA: Facebook Timeline , which has been met with mixed responses by people throughout the world is all set to become compulsory. Facebook is all set to make this feature compulsory from August 8.

The Facebook Timeline tells the history of a person’s Facebook account on their respective pages. This will reveal what all a person has done after his/her Facebook account was activated including all the processes.

Earlier, the Facebook Timeline was only optional and people could opt in or opt out based on their convenience. But with the Timeline set to become compulsory, the approximately 800 million Facebook users will have no other option but to switch to the new “Timeline look of Facebook” (which is basically a redesigned individual Facebook profile albeit with the Timeline).

According to a report by Telegraph, users who haven’t yet switched to the new look are being provided with previews of how their Facebook profiles/accounts will look, after they switch over to the new profile design.

Various Facebook users in India have expressed happiness over the Timeline being made mandatory. Vishal, an ardent fan of Facebook says ''The Timeline is sure the best thing to happen since we can get to know the complete personality and character of a person before friending them.”

However there are various other users who are not happy with the Timeline, one such user is Sampath, who states that ''Timeline is really frustrating. This is nothing but a breach of Privacy.''

But, whatever the case, there is only one thought that people echo at this stage and that is  “Like it or not, you will get the Facebook Timeline.'' Do share your views with us in our comments section below.
