Offering an easy way for users to search and connect with their government representatives on a local, state and federal level, Town Hall is a convenient way of connecting with government officials.

To use the feature, you only have to enter your address. Based on your location, Facebook will show you a list of local representatives, with the option to follow the members of the local council, the mayor and even the president and the vice-president.

Each representative also has a “Contact” button next to their name, which will give you the option to “Message”, “Email” them, or visit their Facebook Page. However, not all representatives are as available as others. Hence, in many cases, you might receive only their Facebook page to connect with them.

Facebook has also integrated voting reminders in Town Hall, to notify you about the upcoming election in your area.

The new feature is currently in its initial stage, so you can expect more updates shortly.
