With the new website, Facebook showcases its solutions at the social media front for businesses, especially SMBs.
Facebook for Business is more of a help portal - a step-by-step online guide - aimed at helping small businesses tap into the potential of social networking.
The new web page, found at Facebook.com/business, gives directions on things, such as how to set up a profile page, create targeted ads and deals, and interact with customer feedback online, according to a report.
Interestingly, Facebook's latest move coincides with the incident of Google deleting accounts created by companies on Google+, saying that the social networking feature is on a beta version and an invitation mode, and hence pseudonyms cannot be used for names.
"Facebook allows small businesses to create rich social experiences, build lasting relationships and amplify the most powerful type of marketing — word of mouth," a report quoted a Facebook spokesperson as saying in an email.
"We created Facebook.com/business to make it even easier for people to reach these objectives and grow."
Facebook had recently launched video chat with Skype, even as Google launched Google+ to mark its presence in the social media front.
