F-Secure brings smartphone back-up service

SAN JOSE, US: F- Secure, a leading anti-virus company, has launched Mobile Backup service through operators to meets the growing need for security of smartphones.


The F Secure back-up provides a user content security even if the device is lost, stolen or broken. The service backs up a user's mobile-specific content, such as contacts, SMS, photos and videos. The solution can also be used to ease swapping information from one phone to another, a company release said.

Opportunity for operators

According to F-Secure, operators can offer F-Secure Mobile Backup as a stand-alone or bundled service. It provides operators with an excellent platform to increase brand leverage, revenue potential and retention rates.
