Extranet can save 50 p.c on TCO: Yankee Group

The sweeping global recession making onslaught on enterprises in many respects, forcing many of them to halt IT projects and investments for their organizations. But still 36 per cent of financial institutions invested on more robust network technologies which are faster and reliable.

A BT-sponsored research carried out by Yankee Group revealed that financial companies can save more than 50 per cent in total cost of ownership (TCO) by deploying shared managed Extranet services. It saves cost in a better way compared to do-it-yourself (DIY) network infrastructures, adds the report.
