Serving over three and a half million passengers and overseeing more than 50,000 flights in 2012, Turin Airport makes the safety of passengers its primary objective. The Everbridge system will be used to reduce the time for airport operational safety procedures to be put into action and support improvements in the emergency notification process to all staff, organisations, and agencies involved in rescue operations.

"One of the reasons we chose the Everbridge system was its flexibility to adapt to our specific airport practices," a SAGAT spokesperson stated. "Everbridge will integrate our traditional emergency communication network of dedicated telephone lines, radios, and sirens with modern mobile communication systems such as mobile telephones, SMS, and email."

"The power of the Everbridge solution means you can maintain all of your critical communications under one single platform using an easy-to-use interface with built-in response paths to help dramatically reduce human error and increase speed of response," said David Flower, senior vice president of EMEA at Everbridge.

"The Everbridge system can reach a large number of people involved in rescue operations in a variety of intelligent ways, helping gather critical intelligence, convene on-the-fly instant conference call bridges for emergency teams, or launch interactive polling notifications to immediately confirm the safety and whereabouts of staff."
