Eutech opens global division in Chennai

CHENNAI: The Singapore-based Eutech Cybernetics, focussing on software

products, has opened a 6000 sq ft-Global Solutions Division (GSD) in Chennai

that would provide service-based support for Eutech's existing products,

becoming an end-to-end solutions provider.

Eutech specializes in developing products for intelligent buildings,

facilities management and networked healthcare organizations. Eutech has

operations in North America, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India.

It has two key products - iViva. Works software framework, which is a

development platform and suite of management applications and Hospital Network

Information System, Copernicus.

The GSD division will integrate legacy applications, develop applications and

turnkey end-to-end solutions for its existing customers. These solutions would

address the specific needs of the healthcare, energy and infrastructure

industries primarily in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The center will receive an investment of $1 million in the first phase of

operations extending till December 2001, which would be scaled up to $2 million.

The GSD intends to become 100 strong by then.

"The GSD in Chennai is a key base in our services strategy. We are

targeting revenue of $3million in our first year of operations and $8 million in

our second year. Our target market in the US is the healthcare sector and the

energy sector," said Hari Gunasingham, CEO of Eutech Cybernetics.
