The Forum is facilitated by EBTC in collaboration with Fraunhofer in Germany and Cambridge Cleantech in United Kingdom. The main aim of the Forum is to initiate a sustainable Ecosystem between European and Indian Cleantech SMEs and investor networks.

In order to achieve this, EBTC is planning to map and match a set of companies and investors in Europe and India, mentor joint ventures and partnerships, and facilitate a connect between entities of these two regions. The result of this will be to create tangible projects and to generate investment opportunities.

"The Forum also aims to foster and promote exchange of ideas between the European and Indian business, investor and research communities in emerging cleantech sectors. It will provide an outstanding platform for participants to discover, explore and tap the European technology providers which offer technologies that match the Indian requirements and an opportunity for investors who aim to develop business through reliable and bankable projects in the growing Indian market," said Leena Thomas, regional manager, EBTC Bengaluru.

The opportunity will specifically benefit project developers and Entrepreneurs to gain insights and hands-on understanding of the European technology expertise in the cleantech sector. Likewise, for financial institutions and investors, the Forum will help to identify projects that are investor friendly and can explore niche cleantech funding opportunities which have potential to create a significant impact in the Indian market.
