NEW DELHI: Close to the heels of its last month launch of the low cost ePCs, eSys Distribution Ltd. has adopted an aggressive strategy to expand its channel partners across the nation. To start with, it has appointed three distributors so far--Millenium Automation and Systems Ltd., Vintron Informatics Ltd. and Champion Computers.

Said GS Paul, CEO, eSys Distribution, "We are sticking to our commitment of making the distribution of this product easy and profitable to our channel partners. Appointment of these three is just the beginning, we would be expanding this channel network quite aggressively over the next few months."

Right now, the shipping of kits for the ePC has begun and the numbers would increase with the appointment of the distributors across the nation. eSys would be providing the kits to the distributors and they could assemble it further in whichever way they want to. They would also create their own channel network for these PCs.

Champion, which is one of the first ones to get this distributorship, felt that this venture holds a lot of potential. Kapil Wadhwa, Director, Champion, was very enthusiastic about this tie-up. "I know that this PC will not be able to get a paradigm shift in the market but I am sure that this PC will give a run to the second hand PC market." Right now, he is in the midst of setting up the channel network for the ePC, which he has christened Champion ePC. Wadhwa is offering these kits through his network to various assemblers across the nation.

Millenium Automation would be the second distributor for this PC. It is already in the market with an established name and has its own brand of PCs--Tornado. Virender Singh, MD, Millenium, said, "To begin with, we would be assembling these units in our Mohali unit and will brand it as Millenium Black Pearl. It is clubbed with a Proview monitor with a modest price tag."

He also plans to introduce this PC in six states across the nation. Vintron is also in the ePC spree and plans to integrate the ePCs under the Vintron brand. However, it will take some more time before launching them in the market.
