The introduction about the website says, “We think very little is accomplished by preachy, judgmental, finger wagging attitudes. In fact, we believe, that judgmental finger wagging only gets people to wag their fingers back. Perhaps worst of all, judgmental finger wagging is just plain boring!”

MyEex.com lets you calculate the amount of carbon emission caused by an individual by using a measure tab. It compares your answers to data from your part of the world to estimate carbon footprint.

The site aims to use humor, art and provocative ideas to get people to focus on global climate change amidst financial meltdowns, wars and other distractions.

Once the estimation is done, the site provide guidance and recommendations to reduce their carbon emissions and track progress.

My Emission Exchange also provides with a certification for carbon reduction, which would enable carbon credit, a program where individuals who reduce their emissions below a certain level can sell their carbon credits to individuals who are above the level. This program usually happen between companies.

The site says that until now this only happened between companies, however your personal carbon reductions are just as valuable to those companies above the limit.

MyEex would also sell these credits to the highest bidder and the money would go to the registered user's personal account.

The site till now has limited itself to household emission estimation, but plans to expand. It also plans to provide social networking and with news, tips, and products to foster a unique green-minded community.
