Essel Software develops softwre for pharmaseutical industry

HYDERABAD: Essel Software Services Ltd., a software development company with

its development center in Hyderabad has developed a software package targeted

towards the pharmaceutical industry. Christened as Pharmasoft, the software

comes with two different versions targeted at two different segments. "We

have chalked out plans to market the product for two segments -whole sale

medical distributors and pharmaceutical manufacturers and we have priced the

product at Rs 20,000 and Rs 65,000 respectively for these segments," said,

Essel Software Services Ltd. director, Srinivas Rao.

Pharmasoft is a software solution that cuts down Reports Generation Time and

increases the accuracy of information. The product has features such as - Sales

Invoice, Party Ledger, Batch-wise Stock Position Report, Sales Analysis Report,

Client Limit Enquiry, Debit Note, Credit Note etc. can be generated at the press

of few keys.

The company has a channel partner base of more than 30 all over the country

and is planning to increase it to more than 50 within six months time." We

are planning to increase our presence within the sub-continent by increasing the

channel partner base," he added.

The 78-people company has invested more than Rs 10 lakh for the development

of the product and it has additional features like Inquiry, Zooming and Analysis

with full security features. These reports can either be viewed on Screen or

printed.

"We have designed the product so as to generate instant up to date

Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statements, Ledgers and information on

Batch-wise Stock Position, Area-wise or Collection-boy-wise Outstanding

Statements and many more. All these will lead to full utilization of Manpower,

quality and accuracy in information and image among customers," explained

Srinivas.

Multi Platform Support (LAN) Pharmasoft is available on networks, which means

several persons can simultaneously enter transactions while chosen few keep

track of reports. The product's LAN version supports Novell and Windows NT.

Pharmasoft Single user supports DOS, Win 95/98, so that the user can choose his

own Platform to work.

Started in 1995 as a firm with a view to reduce the gap between business

people and computers by providing software & services, Esselsoft has come a

long way. The company completed expansion in 2000 by incorporating limited

company "Essel software & Services LTD" and the firm also merged

with the new company.
