eSSecom achieves PCI DSS certification

BANGALORE, INDIA: eSSecom today announced that they have successfully achieved compliance to PCI DSS 1.1 security standard, becoming the first Payment Gateway and EFT Switch Company in India to be certified.

PCI DSS 1.1 is an emerging credit card security standard promoted by major card agencies like VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB. PCI DSS is an extremely important component of Credit Card Security and is therefore a stringent standard and meeting these standards ensures that the Processing Infrastructure is Secure for Customers to transact.
