Essae Technologys launches "LibaSoft"

Bangalore: Bangalore-based Essae Technologys has announced the launch of a library management software, "LibaSoft". LibaSoft is a 32-bit Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT compatible library database management and barcode generation library automation software package.

According to a company release, the software is capable of tracking items in libraries, including books, videos, records, cassette tapes, CDs, LDs and DVDs. The software is developed using Visual Basic 6.0 as front end and MS Access 7.0 / MS SQL 6.5 as database. The utility modules available in the software are report generation, book numbering system, membership details, purchase order database, budgetary control, reservation database and status monitoring.

According to a company release, LibaSoft is compatible with other database management, word processing and desktop publishing software packages and is Y2K compliant. The licenses are available for single and for multiple users in networked environments. The software works in LAN environments and supports all activities relating to acquisitions, cataloging, circulation, serial and article alerts. LibaSoft has three main modules, Library Management Module and Library Circulation Module - used by librarians and clerks and Student Search and Inquiry Module - used by students and staff.
