Essae Technologys introduces Zebra Barcode printers in India

BANGALORE, August 23: Bangalore-based Essae Technologys announced the launch of a new
range of barcode printers- "Stripe S400" and "Z4000" manufactured by
Zebra Technologies Corporation, US. Essae has a strategic marketing and technical tie-up,
representing Zebra for their entire range of products in India. Zebra Technologies is a
manufacturer of bar code label printing systems, with revenues exceeding US$336 million.

The S400 and Z4000 barcode printers employ direct thermal and thermal transfer
technology. The printers support standard DOS and Windows platforms and are provided with
a parallel port as well as a serial port. Special features include auto-calibration
facility, which enables the hardware to detect the label dimensions, thus eliminating
manual calibration every time for different label sizes.

The Zebra stripe S400 is effective for low volume immediate consumption barcode
applications. The S400 print resolution is 203 dpi at a speed of 4 inches/sec and a
maximum print length of 3 feet. The Zebra Z4000 is a feature-enhanced printer for large
volume, print 'n' store bar code applications. The Z4000 has a print resolution of 203dpi
(300 dpi is optional) at speed of 10 inches/sec and a maximum print length of 3 1/4 feet.
The printer weighs only 11 Kgs. The printer has a LCD front panel display peel-off,
cutter, as well as an auto rewind option.
