ESS to strengthen its presence in overseas markets

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Eastern Software System (ESS) has announced that it is aggressively strengthening its activities in overseas markets including Eastern and Western Africa, South Africa, China and Latin America so as to reach out to a wider audience in these geographical regions and showcase its capabilities.

ESS has successfully implemented eBizframe, ERP for mid-market range, for clients in more than 15 verticals in 25 countries and six different languages.

According to Anil Bakht, MD, Eastern Software Systems, “The response to our products and services from the overseas markets has been overwhelming in the recent times. We have won several major contracts from various government agencies and private sector in different countries for both our ERP solution and customized web applications development business. We plan to further strengthen our marketing activities so as to reach a wider audience and win more contracts from overseas customers in 2009.”

ESS is taking aggressive marketing initiatives and rapid expansion in every part of Africa. The company has a good presence in the Economic hub (Eastern Africa), which includes Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda. In Western Africa ESS has a notable presence in Ghana, Nigeria, Namibia & Botswana.

ESS also has won prominent contracts from customers in South Africa and plans to aggressively market its products and services in the region.

ESS' Business Partner for Kenya and Tanzania, Compulynx Ltd., has been selected by KPMG Kenya as amongst the KPMG Top-100 Mid-Sized Companies recently. Compulynx has been instrumental in assisting ESS win many a prestigious contract in the region.

Apart from the prominent African markets, ESS is also expanding towards French speaking countries in Africa which includes Ivory Coast & Congo. In Latin America ESS has a good presence in Mexico, Columbia & Bolivia and is also expanding its marketing activities in China.

The company is actively participating in various technology conventions across Africa to showcase its products and services to its target audience. The company recently participated in a 3-Day International Supply Chain Convention organized by GS 1 Kenya.

ESS conducted a 1-Day ERP Workshop for the benefit of the delegates which received excellent response from the participants. The convention featured several speakers and delegates from U.K., New Zealand and many countries in Africa.

ESS also participated in the 21st Century Business Trade fair organized by the Oshwal Youth League, Kenya. The Oshwal community controls the major businesses across East Africa and conducts this annual event. More than 50 large and medium enterprises participated in the event which attracted the Deputy Prime Minister of Kenya among others.
