NEW DELHI: Eastern Software System (ESS), offering ERP

solutions and services today announced that it has translated its flagship

product ebizframe into five international languages-Arabic, French, Russian,

Spanish and Thai.

Having attained success in Indian small and medium businesses (SMBs), ESS has
forayed into international markets as well. It has received phenomenal response

globally and this necessitated the language translation initiative at ESS to

enhance the acceptability of the product world over.

According to Anil Bakht, chairman and managing director, ESS, "For a software
package to gain acceptability all over the world, it is imperative that the

package works in multiple international languages. The biggest benefit is that

people get to work on the product in the language they best know.”

“Ebizframe has taken the lead by foraying into non-traditional geographies and
various translations of ebizframe would enable ESS to expand the markets for

ebizframe,” he added.

The translation happens at the user interface (GUI) level. ESS will continue the
language translation initiative by developing some screens in other leading

languages of the world first and then gauging the response from particular

international market geographies to proceed further.

The decision for complete language translation is taken only if a live
implementation is required. The translation initiative is primarily being done

in-house by ESS technical and language experts. Once the translation is

complete, the customized product is handed over to independent experts for a

recheck. The time taken to complete a language initiative is typically between 6

to 18 man months.
