eSilicon concludes licensing pact with Synopsys

PARIS, FRANCE: eSilicon Corporation, the fabless company, has announced that it has concluded a multi-year licensing agreement with Synopsys Incorporated to use its Discovery Verification Platform, Galaxy Implementation Platform, and DesignWare IP and services.

In a statement, eSilicon Corporation also said it has joined the Synopsys IP OEM Partner Program in order to get access to a portfolio of high-quality, silicon-proven DesignWare IP like USB, HDMI, SATA, DDR, and PCI Express.

In addition, eSilicon Corporation can access the next generation of connectivity IP of Synopsys when it is available.

According to Synopsys Incorporated, Synopsys IP OEM Partner Program, started in 2008, is aimed at enabling the companies participating in it to have one central supplier for their IP needs.

The portfolio of silicon-proven IP solutions of Synopsys is being used in a wide range of applications and process technologies.
