Ericsson Academy to focus on 3G, LTE

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Located in Gurgaon, Ericsson Academy focuses on competence to drive adoption of new technologies and deliver value propositions to Ericsson customers.

The academy with a focus on 3G and LTE is expected to expand its reach to three new cities in India.

Speaking to CIOL, Girish Johar, VP, Human Resources & Organisation, Ericsson India said that in line with the current business requirements for Ericsson India, they will conduct programmes on 3G, LTE, system integration competence, and multi-vendor technologies.

“In India, Ericsson Academy will be expanding its presence to Noida, Bangalore and Kolkata, while the academy is already operational in China, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea and Philippines,” he said.

However, he declined to disclose the timeline for this expansion.

Johar added that there are various challenges and pain points in adopting new technologies and solutions. The painpoints according to him include choice of right technology and solution, technology transition process and resource training as well as undisrupted service to end-customer during the technology transition.

The academy provides customized programmes, interactive forums for changing and upcoming technologies, market and business conditions as well as share knowledge with employees, customers, universities, suppliers and partners in order to facilitate ICT industry.
