Envivio to demo 4K HEVC encoding technology

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Envivio announced that Envivio 4K HEVC compression will be demonstrated by industry partners Broadcom, MStar Semiconductor and STMicroelectronics in Las Vegas during the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

These leading providers of chipsets and semiconductors for consumer devices, including television sets and set-top boxes (STBs), will feature content encoded by Envivio in 4K (Ultra HD) format, using the latest generation HEVC (H.265) video codec.

Broadcom and Envivio are working together on 4K HEVC trials with several Tier 1 video service providers as part of Envivio's HEVC Early Access Program.
