Tenable, the exposure management company, today announced that SRF Limited, a chemical-based multi-business entity engaged in manufacturing industrial and speciality intermediates, has expanded its long-standing engagement with Tenable by adopting the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform.
This strategic move marks a significant milestone in SRF’s cybersecurity transformation journey, enabling comprehensive risk visibility across both IT and OT environments.
Securing Industrial Operations in a Converged Threat Landscape
“The biggest challenge in our industry lies in proactively outpacing the relentless evolution of cyber threats,” said Sanjay Rao, President and Chief Information Officer, SRF Limited. “The escalating frequency of ransomware, phishing, and supply chain attacks—now targeting both IT and OT—demands a delicate balance between robust security and operational agility.”
According to CISA, most modern OT attacks stem from IT environments, with identity exposures contributing to 90% of initial access in critical infrastructure breaches. By deploying Tenable One, SRF gains a unified view of cyber risk exposure, enabling:
-
Continuous benchmarking of security posture
-
Deep OT asset visibility
-
Faster, more informed threat response
“Cybersecurity is not about eliminating all vulnerabilities—it’s about knowing which ones matter most and acting before attackers do,” said Rajeev Verma, Chief Information Security Officer, SRF Limited. “Tenable has helped us prioritise IT risks for years. With Tenable One, we now extend that assurance into our OT landscape—securing everything from headquarters to the factory floor.”
A Model for Cyber Resilience in Manufacturing
With Tenable One, SRF is working toward establishing a centralised OT security monitoring centre under its SecureOT initiative, enhancing network segmentation, and deploying advanced threat detection systems.
This reinforces SRF’s commitment to:
-
Minimising cyber risk
-
Strengthening operational resilience
-
Aligning with global cybersecurity compliance standards
"SRF is setting a new standard for cybersecurity in manufacturing by adopting a proactive, unified approach to risk management,” said Nigel Ng, Senior Vice President, Tenable, Asia Pacific and Japan. “As industrial threats intensify, SRF leads by example—unifying visibility, insight, and action across their attack surface to isolate and eliminate priority exposures.”
