Enterprise mobility: RIM pins high hopes on BlackBerry 10

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Despite tough times, Research In Motion (RIM), the maker of BlackBerry devices, is banking heavily on enterprise mobility. The handset manufacturer believes that its ambitious BlackBerry 10 will be the most advanced smartphone platform.

RIM India enterprise sales director Sunil Lalvani told CIOL that they have strong and robust of enterprise services and solutions in the market. The company sees huge potential in enterprise mobility.

"Since quality cannot be compromised, we are ensuring that BlackBerry 10, our new platform for the next few years and would be stable and reliable," he informed.

"RIM has been doing a thorough job on this platform in order to provide a compelling experience for the enterprise customers as they benefit from our continued innovation," he added.

Lalvani said that BlackBerry Mobile Fusion can facilitate seamless integration of management console of BlackBerry, BlackBerry 10, Android and iOS devices wherein CIOs can manage multiple platforms.

"In India, our forte is enterprise solutions and we are moving aggressively into that space targeting large, mid-level and small businesses alike," he said.

BlackBerryBalance allows IT heads to secure information on personal devices by distinguishing personal and corporate data. The solution, Lalvani said, allows BlackBerry smart phones and tablets can be used for business and personal purpose with setting vital data at stake.

The company has tied up with Business communication service provider Global Outlook for hosted BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) service. The BES software comes free and facilitates organizations to integrate and manage BlackBerry smart phones in work environment.
