EMS launches 'data centre-in-a-box' products

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Elliptical Mobile Solutions (EMS), who develops micro-modular data centres (MMDC), announced the launch of its 'data centre-in-a-box' products.

The company claims that these products are capable of lessening data centre power and operational expenditures by up to 80 percent and 65 percent respectively.

The company also added that these products, which are water proof, have an efficient air conditioning systems and unlike others products which cool the air inside a data centre, these cool the racks instead.

Don Kennedy, senior vice-president, international sales, EMS, said: “Our products are vendor neutral. For a 42 u product, our products occupies only 6 square meter of area as compared to 30 square metre floor area in traditional data centres.”

EMS has already roped in an Indian company for its products; however, denied to disclose the name of the same.
