EMC Isilon intros new scale-out storage platforms

BANGALORE, INDIA: EMC Isilon extended its scale-out NAS solutions with new Isilon X400 and NL400 storage nodes.

Updates to the X400 and NL400 nodes will provide enterprises with over 15 PB in a single cluster, and over 80 per cent storage utilization.

The X400 features 90 per cent more throughput than the previous generation value platform and 20 times more throughput than traditional NAS single volume throughput, claims the company in a release.

When coupled with EMC Isilon's OneFS operating system, this allows enterprises to balance capacity, performance and economics of storage infrastructure resources, adds the release.
