EMC Executive-VP to visit India

NEW DELHI: EMC Corporation executive VP and CFO William J (Bill) Teuber, Jr. will be visiting India for the first time from February 22- February 25, 2005. During his visit, Teuber will interact with senior government officials in New Delhi and Bangalore, meet EMC customers and partners and address The Economic Times Knowledge Forum on "Corporate Governance Compliance and Beyond" in Delhi on February 25, 2005.






EMC Corporation is a provider of information storage and management. With 2004 revenues of $8.23 billion, EMC employs nearly 23,000 people worldwide, it is among the top 10 technology companies in the world. Teuber, who has been with EMC Corporation since 1995, and was appointed the CFO in 1997, played a key role in the successful turnaround of EMC Corporation from a company making $500 million net losses in 2001 to a company with $850 million profits in 2004.





Elaborating on the relevance of the visit, EMC India & SAARC country manager Manoj Chugh said, "India is one of the key strategic markets for EMC. Teuber's visit reiterates EMC's long-term commitment to India and highlights the tremendous market potential in India for information storage and management solutions. With a commitment to invest around $100 million in India by 2007, EMC has emerged today as the leading information storage provider in India. During this visit we will review our strategy to further expand the Indian market for networked storage and maintain our leadership position."
