EMC collaborates with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya

NEW DELHI, INDIA: EMC announced that EMC and Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), India's 5th largest university, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to set up a Corporate School in RGPV's Bhopal campus that will offer courses in leading areas of technology including Information Storage and Management, Cloud Infrastructure and Services, Backup Recovery Systems and Architecture, and Data Science and Big Data Analytics to engineering graduates.

The MOU was signed today in the presence of Ram Naresh Yadav, Honorable Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Rajesh Janey, president of EMC India and SAARC, Krishna Kant of EMC Academic Alliance, South East Asia and Russia, and Prof. Piyush Trivedi, VC of RGPV.

As a part of this MOU, EMC will provide RGPV with the necessary technical expertise to set up the corporate school by providing the ‘lab environment' that will be used to run the courses, help create collateral, design programs to recruit students for enrolment, train the core team of faculty members on the EMC courses through video instructor-led training (VILT), supply the course curriculum, slide decks, student kits, teaching materials and software simulators. In addition, EMC will provide technical experts for sessions as well as nominate four technology experts for the advisory board.

The MOU is part of the EMC Academic Alliance program, through which EMC collaborates with leading educational institutions worldwide to address the emerging knowledge gap in the industry developing a resource pool of skilled, certified and industry-ready professionals. This is the only program in the industry that offers unique ‘open' curriculum based education' for students. So far, EMC has forged alliances with 200+ education institutions in India and has trained over 100,000 students in India.
