EMC gets Cisco 'Multi-theatre Partner' award

BANGALORE, INDIA: EMC Corporation, a provider in information infrastructure solutions, announced today that it has received Cisco’s ‘Multi-theatre Partner of the Year’ award.

Cisco unveiled the Cisco Partner Summit global award winners June 3 at its annual channel partner conference in Boston.

The objective of the Global Awards is to recognize exemplary channel partners whose behavior Cisco would like other partners to model, said a press release.

This award recognizes EMC’s excellence and commitment in driving programs for the channel community and helping customers cost-effectively take advantage of their information technologies to realize the benefits of next-generation virtualized data centers, it added.

“The Multi-theatre Partner of the Year award recognizes EMC’s performance and accomplishments as a Cisco channel partner in 2008,” said Keith Goodwin, senior vice president, Worldwide Channels at Cisco.

“EMC and Cisco have a longstanding strategic alliance based on many years of technology and sales collaboration. Receiving the Cisco ‘Multi-theatre Partner of the Year’ award is a testament to our deep commitment to deliver value to both mutual customers and channel partners,” said BJ Jenkins, senior vice president, Global Marketing, EMC.

He further added that moving forward they would continue to focus on helping their mutual customers leverage information infrastructure investments to gain efficiencies and lay the ground work for building private cloud architectures.
