Embarcadero intros C++Builder, Delphi RAD frameworks

SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Embarcadero Technologies, provider of database tools today introduced Starter editions of C++Builder and Delphi, rapid application development (RAD) frameworks.

The entry-level versions give independent developers, students and micro businesses low-cost access software development tools so they can kick-start their application development efforts said a press release.

According to the release, RAD frameworks offer users core IDE components including a 32-bit native code compiler, debugger and visual component library (VCL) with drag-and-drop visual development to rapidly build Windows applications for Windows 7, Vista, XP and 2000.

“With these new Starter editions, we’re making it easier for developers to access today’s most popular and powerful RAD frameworks,” said David Intersimone, vice president of developer relations and chief evangelist for Embarcadero.

“At an entry-level price, Delphi and C++Builder Starter provide individual developers and start-up companies with powerful functionality to build native Windows applications fast. This translates into more innovative development from new talent and potentially faster growth for start-ups,” added David.

Delphi is based on the Object Pascal programming language and is one of the most widely used programming languages and development environments in the world.
