element14 offers signal LEDs in Asia Pacific under exclusive agreement with WÃœRTH Elektronik

BANGALORE, INDIA: element14, announced it will exclusively stock Würth Elektronik's new range of signal light emitting diodes (LEDs) comprising standard and standard multicolour.

The LED's primary applications are as signal LEDs for status indication in electronic equipment and in industrial electronics, but they also feature in many other applications such as scoreboards, keyboards, display panels, vending machines, audio and HiFi equipment and many more.

This expanded range is focused on SMD components and in addition to the classic single-color components, it includes various bi-colour and full colour (RGB) components."

The LEDs in this range are compact and provide an excellent low current, low energy consumption solution. With exceptional brightness, superior solderability and excellent heat dissipation they provides high design flexibility when clear light is required in small spaces.

The new range also includes different reverse-mount LEDs, side LEDs (90 percent) as well as selected THT types. Other advantages include fast switching times, no UV/IR radiation, different radiation angles and different colors.

Although the LEDs are standard components, they are provided with a number of extra practical features, for example the chip LEDs feature optical polarity marking of the cathode on both the top and the bottom of the LED for clarity. This allows for visual checking after assembly.
