element14 offers innovative FCI high power card edge and USB connectors in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: element14 has introduced FCI's power supply solutions, and data and multimedia I/Os comprising high power card edge (HPCE) and power card edge (PCE) connectors, and USB 3.0 connectors.

These new ranges of HPCE and PCE connectors from FCI, a leading manufacturer of connectors and interconnect systems, are designed for use in next-generation power supplies especially in server and storage systems.

The HPCE connector, FCI's latest high power connector mating to edge card, is ideal for use in demanding applications such as telecom, instrumentation and medical, due to its more compact and lower profile height which provide lower contact resistance and increased linear current density. Applicable for next-generation 1U/2U servers, storage enclosures, datacom and networking equipment, this range is available element14.

This one-piece card edge provides cost effective power delivery with capacity for 7A per power contact.

Also available from element14, the FCI USB 3.0 offers over 10 times performance increase which minimises the user wait time as compared to USB2.0. It supports 5Gbps data rate for fast sync-n-go and is backward compatible with existing devices.
