HELSINKI, FINLAND: Finnish electronics group Elcoteq said on Tuesday it would make and service smartphones for Japan's Sharp, boosting sales by over 150 million euros ($185 million) in 2010.
Elcoteq said in April it had won a deal in Japan with a leading handset maker, and forecast the same sales boost for 2010, but did not name the firm.
"The cooperation focuses initially on Sharp's latest smartphone product lineup "KIN", a new Windows Phone, developed for USA and Europe," Elcoteq said.
